Press: Souillac. A facelift for the tympanum of the belfry

The association "Friends of Old Souillac, always anxious preserve and enhance the architectural heritage of the city, focused on the western facade of the tower and the city has proposed to complete the restoration project and the tympanum of the porch of the old Romanesque church of Saint Martin, historical monument. This

The municipality has therefore decided, in City Council from 16 December to sign a support contract to the owner with the Ministry of Culture and communication.

Still on the building, demolition and construction of new sanitary facilities are planned. This operation, currently under review with the contractor, received a positive opinion from the architect of buildings in France.

After obtaining building permits and planning permission as part of this development project, work can begin and the Salle Saint-Martin will be well equipped with toilet facilities, accessible both from the inside that from the outside.
